Warranty and Policies
To put it succinctly, if Fresh Air Exhaust does not live up to your expectations, and we can’t make it work, we will refund your purchase price. Our return policy is very liberal yet our return rate is less than 1%
In order for this warranty to be valid, pictures of your installed FAE/muffler replacement, along with your Registration/Post Install Measurements form (see next page), must be emailed to mail@freshairexhaust.com at the time of installation to ensure proper installation of the system. Upon verification of proper installation, a confirmation email will be sent to you (the boat owner or representative). Failure to send the above information may void part or all of this warranty.
1 – SATISFACTION GUARANTEED – Satisfaction is guaranteed for 45 days from the date of shipping. You must notify us if your first use of your FAE will be delayed; the satisfaction guarantee period will be extended to 30 days after first use. If you are not satisfied with the installation or performance of your FAE, you must notify us by email. We will attempt to correct the malfunction and you will be required to make reasonable effort to make these corrections (including but not limited to: making recommended modifications, taking additional pictures or measurements, providing feedback). You will be required to send pictures of your FAE installed. If modifications to an FAE are necessary, ground shipping within the contiguous United States will be covered. Shipping outside of the contiguous US, or expedited shipping will be your responsibility. If we are unable to correct the FAE to your satisfaction, you must notify us to obtain return authorization. Ship your FAE to the address shown at the bottom of this page via prepaid shipping. You are responsible for proper packaging to prevent damage and we encourage you to verify there is shipping insurance for the full value of you FAE. Once received, the FAE will be inspected and a refund check will be sent to you within 14 days. Additional charges may apply if the FAE is damaged. If you do not allow Fresh Air Exhaust the opportunity to correct the “failure” there will be a minimum $75 restocking fee, unless semi-custom (see paragraph 3) then the restocking fee will be a minimum of $100 or up to 30% of the purchase price. Custom muffler replacements are accepted on a strict case by case basis. In the event of an accepted custom muffler replacement return, there will be a minimum 20% restocking fee.
2 – Fresh Air Exhaust (FAE) warrants all components against defects in material or workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, abuse, impact or faulty installation. Fresh Air Exhaust (FAE) is not responsible for any installation or removal charges. FAE has no control over the work performed by others, or the amount charged by others, and assumes no responsibility for installation by others. This warranty only applies when installed on the boat it was originally purchased for. Any malfunctioning component must be sent to Fresh Air Exhaust via prepaid shipping and must have a return authorization number. Fresh Air Exhaust will make the final warranty determination after inspection. If your FAE has a Brushed or Polished finish, there will be small nicks and scratches in the finish which are not defects and are not warranted. Any modification of your FAE without prior approval from Fresh Air Exhaust voids your warranty.
3 – For custom (including but not limited to one-piece designs, large yacht/cruisers), and semi-custom orders
(including but not limited to Nautiques), a non-refundable deposit of at least $100 will be
charged prior to fabrication.
4 – Returns requested due to incorrect measurements provided by the customer will be assessed on a case by case basis and may not qualify for a refund. Refunds requested (and approved) prior to shipping/receipt of order, will be less any processing fees incurred at the time of the original payment.
Fresh Air Exhaust does not reduce Carbon Monoxide levels while the boat is in neutral; normal caution must still be exercised. Participation in watersports and boating comes with inherent risks of injury or death. To reduce your risks use common sense and familiarize yourself with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Fresh Air Exhaust is not liable to the users and third parties for any incidental or consequential damages, including damages for personal injury or property, beyond the responsibility that Fresh Air Exhaust has set forth in the above warranty.
